Apple would not be releasing the iOS 10.2 update until December but its beta version is available for download. It gives a preview of new features coming to iOS devices. The iOS 10.2 will be rolled out for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

The iOS 10.2 currently available is the beta version that will let you check the new features and performance on user's phone or tablets ahead of its official release. Users can download it for free via Apple's Beta Software Program.

iOS 10.2 Update - New Features

The highly anticipated feature of the update is the emojis that will be rolled out. The new set of emojis is poised to help user express them in a better way. The newly added emojis include an avocado, a duck, face palm, a shrug, and a Gorilla. There are also other emojis that will help users express their state of mind including happiness, devastation, annoyance, etc.

With the new iOS, 10.2 update users would also be able to save their camera settings rather than using the default settings. Another feature that has been added will take care of the safety of the users. It will allow users contact authorities without taking out the phone from the pocket or bag.

The update will also give user new wallpaper options. One of the new features will enable users to continue with the unfinished text each time they open the full-screen messenger.

iOS 10.2 Release Date

Apple had confirmed that iOS 10.2 update will be released in December. Apple usually confirms the iOS update release dates at its media events and since there has been no event recently it is hard to pinpoint the release date. Apple has already launched the iOS 10.2 beta version and achieved its goal of delivering the TV app to iPhone and iPad users, as reported by CNET.

Apple after completing the testing of the Beta version might launch the update sometime in mid-December.
