You'd like to think at the Oscars, everything is A-OK. Actually, you might imagine gazing into your television screen that things are absolutely fabulous, with puppets doting on stars to find out how they like their Martinis. However, something went terribly wrong...in the women's bathroom.

According to The New York Post, an apparent overflow in the women's bathroom caused a minor flood in the second floor of the Dolby Theatre just less than 45 minutes before the award broadcast began.

With dangerous events like this, it's a wonder how the ladies were able to keep their makeup and hair intact. Well, this is how--after the announcement of the disastrous flood, a small group of workers were rushed to the theatre to fix the flooding problems, The LA Times reported.

While this did prevent occupation of the bathroom for a short while, stars were still able to drag their glued-on faces in million dollar outfits down the red carpet without much dismay.

According to reports, the employees used two home-sized wet vacuums and a larger machine to tackle the disaster and clean up the flood, while guests were luckily re-assigned to the first floor bar for their needs.

Anything from mold to bad indoor plumbing can be blamed for this sort of thing. So, as for why the pipes burst, many are uncertain. Could this have been a plot by angry paparazzi to ruin the night? In all likelihood, probably not. But, at this point, we may never know.
