The upcoming 2-in-1 PC tablet will reportedly be amongst the most powerful devices to be coming in 2017. If Rumors and leaks are to be believed, the new device will feature a 4K/UHD display. The screen is expected to be either of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, with a 16:9 ratio or 3,840 x 2,560 pixels, with a 3:2 ratio. As Microsoft uses 3:2 aspect ratio since the launch of its Surface Pro 3, the 2017 Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will most probably feature the latter screen size.

Powered by the recently launched sixth-generation Intel Kaby Lake chipsets, the 2017 Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will boost 16GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Rumors also state that the new USB-C ports would replace the earlier USB 3.0 ports for aiding in faster charging as well as file transferring.

While no official reveal has been made regarding the Surface Pro 5 features, the battery life is expected to be something similar to the earlier versions. No official reveal has been made regarding the Surface Pro 5 release date. However, reports suggest that the 2 in 1 device will be revealed in spring 2017. There are also rumors suggesting that the 2017 Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be launched alongside the Surface Book 2.
