Finally, after a long wait since Google launched its new OS "Android 7.0 Nougat Update", Samsung has finally confirmed that Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge as well as Galaxy Note 5 will get the new OS update before the end of 2016 ends. Google has been steadily rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update across various devices already, and Samsung users had been wondering when the tech giant would release the update for their smartphones.

According to DeccanChronicle, One Plus is also going to get the Android 7.0 Nougat update. Samsung confirmed earlier that the new Nougat update will be launched on the Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 family. Here's what we know about the update so far:

Android 7.0 Nougat Update: Rolling Out For Samsung Phones Next Month

If you've been tracking records, it's very much clear that the Android 7.0 Nougat Update will reach most of the smartphones faster than the earlier Android Marshmallow OS. If recent reports are to be believed, the Nougat update will reach the Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 as early as December 2016.

According to different sources, although Samsung hasn't yet officially announced the exact launch date, the tech giant has decided to push the Android 7.0 Nougat update into the S6, S7 and Note 5 smartphones during the fourth quarter of 2016. This clearly means that the Samsung owners could get the update sometime between November and December.

Android 7.0 Nougat Update: What Else Is Scheduled?

Before the big release of the new update, Google is expected to first release a beta variant of the Nougat update to a number of its flagships. Google has so far remained silent about the official release. However, users on GFXBench have been reported to spot Galaxy S7 running the Android 7.0 Nougat.

If the rumors are true, Google might be pooling resources to roll out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to as many smartphones as early as possible. Previous reports also suggest that the next Android 7.0 is currently being tested on both the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphones in Poland.

XDA Developers stated earlier that they've already observed the capabilities of the Galaxy Note 5's stylus being ramped up by the new Android 7.0 Nougat Update. Samsung is also looking forward to overhauling the TouchWiz UI that the tech giant is trying to improve by rolling out Grace UX on the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. It's interesting to note that Grace UX was also a part of the earlier highly criticized Galaxy Note 7.
