‘Mortal Kombat X’ Release Date, Rumors, Latest News & Update: Next DLC Expected In Early 2017 After 'Injustice 2' Release?

"Mortal Kombat X" has been enjoyed since 2015, and until now, it continues to have a strong foothold, all thanks to the nostalgic value this game gives its fans. Now, Kombatants have more reason to continue the nostalgic feeling as the game developer, NetherRealm, announces that the game will have a third expansion pack.

According to Christian Times, players of the popular video game "Mortal Kombat X" have been patiently waiting for months for the next downloadable content pack (DLC). It has been a while since the game was last updated by an expansion pack, and fans think that the Kombat Pack 3 is already a long overdue.

Although there hasn't been any confirmation about the possible release date and additional game contents included in the Kombat Pack 3, rumors have it that NetherRealm Studios will be releasing the next content pack soon.

Movie News Guide reported that the much-awaited expansion pack will be released in the early months of 2017. To be more specific, the release of the next "Mortal Kombat X" content pack will come after the NetherRealm Studios launches another huge game title for next year, "Injustice 2."

As it appears, the game studio is more focused on finishing the "Injustice" sequel now, especially since the game also has a huge number of followers who are anxiously waiting for its release. The game developer said that the development phase of "Injustice 2" is expected to be completed in time for the target release date, which is sometime in March 2017.

With this, NetherRealm Studios is expected to start doing the work for the release of "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 3 DLC immediately. Although the studio has not yet confirmed the early 2017 arrival of the next DLC pack, "Mortal Kombat X" game director Ed Boon has been teasing the fans often regarding the Kombat Pack 3's arrival.

Meanwhile, according to JBH News, several rumors are suggesting that reported that the Mortal Kombat X will be adding a few characters into the already bloody mix, including Baraka, Sindel, Rain, Noob Saibot, and Fujin.
