Moto M 2016 Specs, Price, Release Date: First Motorola Phone To Feature A Fingerprint Scanner?

Moto M 2016 has leaked previously online on a number of occasions giving us a glance of the Motorola phone's specs and looks. Now, once again more images originating from China have leaked online giving us more indications on what the new Motorola smart-phone is going to look like.

Earlier last week, a number of leaks gave us a glimpse of the upcoming Moto M 2016 and now, more leaked images show the actual features of the leaked Motorola phone. Here's what we know about the Moto M 2016 so far:

Moto M 2016: Specs And Features

The leaked images of the Moto M 2016 show the smartphone's information screen, giving us a confirmation that the Motorola Phone will run Android 6.0 'Marshmallow' including the September Android security patches. The upcoming Moto M has been given the model number XT1662. TechDroider reports there are two versions of the Moto M 2016- First, the normal Moto M and the other one an M Plus. The smaller Moto M 2016 is reported to have a 5.5" screen with 1080p HD display.

The smartphone will feature a RAM of 4GB, a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfie lovers. New leaked images show that the Moto M 2016 will have 32 GB of internal storage and an amazing 3,000 mAh battery. The Smartphone will be powered by the Helio P10 processor that specs a 2 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU.

Moto M 2016: Fingerprint Sensor And Looks

The Moto M 2016 will probably be Motorola's first smartphone to feature a fingerprint sensor at its back. The upcoming phone will have a full metal construction coupled with a curved back.

In the recently leaked images, the Moto M 2016's silver colour model is displayed from the front as well as the back. The camera structure though looks capsule-like, is located right on top of the fingerprint scanner.

Moto M 2016 Images that have been leaked so far show a gold uni-body design. While, it still remains to be revealed whether the device is about to replace the Moto X or will be introduced as its complementary device. TechDroider also reports that the handset appears to have been manufactured by Motorola itself rather than ts parent company, Lenovo.

Moto M 2016: Release Date And Price

Details of the other size variants of the Moto M 2016 are yet to be revealed. However, what we know so far is that the Moto M 2016 has already been certified for sale in China by TENAA. Hopefully the reveal will take place shortly as no official announcement has been made so far.

As the price of the upcoming Moto M 2016 has also not been revealed, it looks like the Moto M as well as the M Plus are tuning up to bring us a touch of the mid to premium range of the market.
