SSamsung Galaxy S8 is all set to bring the Korean Tech Giant's reputation back up after Galaxy Note 7 fires had brought it down in the last couple of months. Although there has been no official announcement about the Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date or Price, the Smartphone is expected to be released in mid-2017 with some of the best in class specs.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Preview: Are The New Specs Worth Waiting For?

To feature a dual-camera configuration, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will come with an amazing 4K display. Although Samsung has not revealed much about the Galaxy S8, the device will possibly be amongst the most exciting smartphones of 2017.

The smart phone manufacturer might also be planning to make a major design change for the Samsung Galaxy S8. Here's everything you need to know about Samsung Galaxy S8 specs, features, release date, and price:

Looks:

According to TrustedReviews, the Samsung Galaxy S8 may do not feature the home button, marking a wide design separation from the earlier Note 7 model. Samsung has already been reported to make this change while integrating it with the fingerprint scanning inside the Galaxy S8's display. The Smartphone will feature an edge to edge OLED touch screen featured earlier in its smartphones, but won't have a home button.

Display:

Samsung Galaxy S8 will debut a 5.1" QHD display panel like that of the Galaxy S7, offering a resolution of 1440 x 2560. However, there are rumors that the Galaxy S8 may feature a 5.5-inch 4K resolution display instead. If Samsung Galaxy S8 does feature a 4K display, the Gear VR would automatically become twice as good. So, if Samsung does want to back VR, the Galaxy S8 will have a 4K screen.

Processor/ OS:

Although the Snapdragon 820, can very well support 4K display at 60fps, Samsung Galaxy S8 will be powered by an even better processor. This clearly means that the company doesn't want to take any risks with the chip's UHD screen support. Most probably, the 2017 Galaxy S8 will be powered by the Exynos 8895.

Camera:

One of the major changes in the Samsung Galaxy S8 could be the new dual-lens camera module. Huawei has already used the new tech in its Huawei P9, while Apple has the feature in its latest iPhone 7 Plus. As there has been no official announcement for the same, we have to also take the consideration that the Galaxy S8 may the same camera module as that of the Galaxy S7.

Samsung Galaxy S8 will probably run the latest version of Android 7.0 Nougat. The Galaxy S8 may also retain NFC feature for making payments, taking into consideration the support for Android Pay.

Other Specs:

Samsung Galaxy S8 features Snapdragon X12 modem, which provides up to 600Mbps download speed. However, just in case the next model features a Snapdragon X16 modem, then the downloading speed will be enhanced to up to 1Gbps. The Galaxy S8 is also expected to debut the USB C-Port technology.

Samsung may also get rid of its 3.5 mm jack following the steps of Apple's iPhone 7, giving way to its new wireless headphones. Samsung also believes that by using a fewer number of connectors; it becomes easier to manufacture water-resistant devices. Whether Samsung Galaxy S8 will be water-proof or not, only future can tell.

Price And Release Date:

As we don't know much about the 2017 model, we don't exactly know how much the smartphone may cost. However, taking out the average price of the S7 and S6, the Samsung Galaxy S8 may have a price tag of £599. The Galaxy S8 Edge, on the other hand, would hit the market for a price tag of about £639.

Based on recent updates from various sources, Samsung Galaxy S8's release date will most fall in early March or April next year. StaytTuned to SWR for more latest news and update on the Samsung Galaxy S8 specs, features, release date and price.
