From what we hear, Apple Inc. may soon launch their upgraded version of the MacBook Air 13 inch. Although, the news of MacBook Pro and a Retina MacBook has been in the air for quite some-time with none of them materializing, but we might just get lucky with the MacBook Air.

Apple is soon to release three new notebook products all of which are anticipated to sell well and possibly help the fading PC industry, reports DigiTimes Research. These three new contenders include a possible upgrade of the 13-inch Apple notebook  Air, and the 13-inch and 15-inch variances of the MacBook Pros.  While, we are certainly eager to witness the new Pro models being unveiled, the addition of MacBook Air will also be a pleasant surprise.

According to BGR, apart from the news of the launches, there's not much clarity on what upgraded features are expected. If it's only about a boost in the RAM specs and the processor of the MacBook Air, then there would be not much competition in the laptop category. Its enormous physical dimension even for the 13-inch width and a dated display makes it out of the competition in the laptop category.  A Retina display, some additional ports, slimmer bezels, or the most recent version of the Intel processor on the hand, can be refreshing.

However, the concern about the MacBook Air 13-inch has been that its features are stranded somewhere between the MacBook Pro and the Retina MacBook. What has been the selling point of MacBook Air all these days is it's lower price compared to the other Apple products, and if it continues to maintain the lower price with the additional MacBook Air specs incorporated, it can be a serious threat of dismantling the Retina MacBook.

The round two of the Apple event is all set take place on October 27 in Cupertino, California (headquarter) with an invitation that states "Hello again" featuring an Apple logo.
