If you're still using your trusty iPhone 4 then here we suggest you to start being extra careful with it. As reports are coming out that from the end of this month, Apple will eventually stop offering repairs and after-sales support services or parts for the phone.

The iPhone 4 is the 4th generation of iPhones released by Apple Inc. Succeeding the iPhone 3GS, it was marketed by Apple as their first "smartphone". The handset was first unveiled on June 7, 2010 at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco. Later on, the iPhone 4 was released on June 24, 2010 in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, United States, and Japan. At that time, the iPhone 4 was touted by Apple CEO, Steve Jobs as the world's thinnest smartphone.

The handset consists of uninsulated stainless steel frame which also serves as the phone's antenna. The iPhone 4 also introduced Apple's high-resolution "retina display" which maintains the same physical aspect ratio and size as its precursors, the handset's liquid crystal display had a pixel density of 326 pixel per inch. It also showcased Apple's A4 chip along with iOS 4 which introduced the multi-tasking capability.

The said end of support from Apple will also include the 2010 13-inch Macbook Air, the second-generation Time Capsule, and the third-generation AirPort Extreme will also be abandoned on October 31. Even though the report hasn't been officially confirmed yet by apple, it still totally does makes sense, as the company usually stops supporting their products five years after they are stopped being made.

Anyhow, there are still exceptions to the end of support rule. If ever you're lucky enough to be living within California or Turkey, you should still have another two years of iPhone 4 support left. This is because the said places require manufacturers to keep supporting products for seven years.
