The fire trouble for Samsung Galaxy Note 7 does not seem to fade away. In fact, even the replacements that Samsung has been providing have proved to be no better than the original versions when it comes to exploding or catching fire.

According to reports in TechCrunch, a Virginia man who had been given a replacement against the original Note 7, in September last, woke up a couple of days ago only to find that the replacement phone on the nightstand had caught fire and the whole bedroom was filled with smoke. In the U.S. alone this was the 4th replacement phone that caught fire. One such incident was on board a flight minutes before taking off during the last week.

Replacements are being offered meanwhile by all the major mobile operators in the US in exchange for Note 7. But, in the light of the most recent developments AT&T for one, has stopped offering replacements and customers can only choose another device instead, in exchange for Note 7s.

As of now, Samsung is still fighting to zero down on the exact problem associated with the fire incidents. What has now become clear however is that those who continue to own the Note 7s, ought to be very cautious, particularly when the device is powered on.as reported in CNBC.

Perhaps, it is time for all Note 7s owners to exchange their new acquisition for a smartphone of a different make than Samsung. Most of the major operators in the US have made the process easy to exchange the Note 7s this way.

Meantime, Samsung has suspended the further sale of Note 7s as well as replacements even as the company is investigating all reported instances of the device catching fire. Samsung is trying its best to downplay the issue and has expressed confidence that they are working with complete urgency and focus, to find a resolution acceptable to all Note 7s owners across the globe.
