MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date Update, Latest News: Laptop’s Announcement To Happen Alongside Apple’s October Earnings Call Event?

There's no end to numerous rumors concerning Apple's highly anticipated MacBook Pro 2016 release date, specs and pricing details which have been making the headlines for quite some time now. The burning question is when is Apple going to take the wraps off the new laptop.

The Cupertino had earlier scheduled its earnings call for the fourth quarter of 2016 on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016. Tech enthusiasts were expecting MacBook Pro 2016, MacBook Air 2016 and iMac 2016 announcement to be made alongside the earnings call. But, now, the event has been rescheduled up two days to Tuesday, Oct. 25, due to some scheduling conflict. The announcement was made through an update on Apple's investor relations webpage. There are high chances that the much rumored MacBook Pro 2016, MacBook Air 2016 and iMac 2016 will also get unveiled on the same date.

MacRumors reported that as the launch of the new MacBook Pro models is approaching near, the iPhone maker is currently busy working on macOS 10.12.1 update to assure that the updated operating system is capable of supporting new hardware features. Talking about MacBook Pro 2016 specs, the next gen Apple laptop is reported to be thinner and lighter than its predecessors. The next gen Pro laptop is expected to feature a first of its kind OLED display to be placed on top of the keyboard. The OLED touch bar will display the function keys and media controls as well as battery status, volume, WiFi status, brightness and time.

Some of the other MacBook Pro 2016 specs include a 5K Apple display with 5120 x 2880 screen resolution, Intel Skylake processor, AMD Polaris GPUs, a Touch ID power button, four USB-C ports and Apple's intelligent personal assistant, Siri. The laptop is rumored to be made available in two -13-inch and 15-inch- variants. The 13-inch MacBook Pro 2016 model is expected to get a price tag of around $1,099, while, the15-inch version is rumored to cost around $2,099.
