It seems gamers will have to wait until 2018 to gain access to the next "Assassin's Creed" installment, codenamed "Assassin's Creed Empire," as game developer Ubisoft is no mood to roll out the game anytime next year.

In an interview with GameSpot, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said that gamers should not expect the "Assassin's Creed" sequel to get a 2017 release date as the game is still far from completion. He added that the gaming studio will leave no stone unturned to take "Assassin's Creed Empire" to another top-notch level. This is the reason that the developers will take more time to make the gaming experience fantastic for gamers.

"It will be back when it's ready," Guillemot said. "That's when we feel we have something there."

Tommy Francois, Ubisoft's VP of Editorial, told IGN, that sequels of the two most popular gaming titles "Assassin's Creed" and "Far Cry" have almost nil chances of getting a release next year. He stressed that the game developer's main goal is to achieve Alpha one year before and bring out "more quality" and "more polish" to the future gaming titles.

In related news, a leaked screenshot of the upcoming game, codenamed "Assassin's Creed Empire" will, suggest that the game will be based in Egypt. The alleged 'pause menu' picture shows a glass-like Egyptian Pyramid as well as the words "Assassin's Creed Empire" on the right side of the screen. This has left gamers convinced the upcoming game will be set in ancient Egypt. The name 'Peter Tran' can be seen listed as the admin on screen. The screenshot was first posted on French game site Jeux Video.

It is to be noted that the authenticity of the leaked screenshot is yet to be proved. So, we advise our readers take the information with a big grain of salt. Stay tuned to SWR for latest news and updates on "Assassin's Creed Empire".
