Apple MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date, Specs, Latest News: October Launch Alongside MacBook Air 2016, iMac 2016 Confirmed?

New reports coming from trusted tech websites suggest that Apple is fast moving ahead with its October release date plans for the highly anticipated refreshed Mac line up including Apple MacBook Pro 2016, MacBook Air 2016 and iMac 2016.

According to MacRumors, Apple will unveil the MacBook Pro 2016 as soon as late October to take advantage of the approaching holiday shopping season. As per the report, the Cupertino is currently working on macOS 10.12.1 update to make sure that the operating system is capable of supporting the updated hardware's new features.

Another report coming from The Apple Post's Tom Sykes claimed that the iPhone maker will be holding a keynote presentation on Oct. 24 to unveil the next gen MacBook Pro alongside a 5K stand-alone display. However, 9to5Mac was quick enough to debunk the Oct.24 release rumors. It reported that Apple choosing a Monday release for its devices seems unlikely. It remains to be seen whether or not MacBook Pro 2016, MacBook Air 2016 and iMac 2016 will get an October release date.

If reports are to be believed, the upcoming Apple MacBook Pro 2016 will feature the most impressive specs, features and hardware configuration ever found on Mac laptops. The most talked about feature of the next gen Pro laptop is the OLED display, which will be placed on top of the keyboard to display the function keys and media controls as well provide information such as battery charge, volume, WiFi status, brightness and time.

Among other specs, the Apple MacBook Pro 2016 is rumored to get a 5K Apple display with 5120 x 2880 screen resolution, Intel Skylake processors, AMD Polaris GPUs, the butterfly-hinged keyboard, a Touch ID power button, four USB-C ports and Apple's intelligent personal assistant, Siri. The next gen laptop is expected to get rolled out in two 13-inch and 15-inch variants. While, the 13-inch Apple MacBook Pro 2016 model is expected to come with a price tag of around $1,099, the15-inch version is rumored to cost a whopping $2,099.
