“Google Allo” Release Date, Features, Update: Google’s WhatsApp Competitor Gets September 21 Release Date?

While, Google has remained tightlipped about "Google Allo" messaging app release date, new reports suggest the highly anticipated app will roll out to users this week most probably on September 21.

The "Google Allo" release date information came via popular leakster Evan Blass who tweeted that the tech giant's chat app is going to launch on September 21, reported Techno Buffalo. It is to be noted that Blass has a good track record of leaking tech related news on Twitter. The tech giant had first unveiled "Google Allo" and "Duo" video calling app at the I/O 2016 developer conference.

Google's Allo is expected to give a tough fight to competitors including WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and iMessage. The feature which makes Allo stand out from its competitors is Google Assistant. The messaging app will come powered by Google's artificial intelligence software, dubbed Google Assistant, which will make chat conservations easier by suggesting responses as well as help people with booking cinema tickets, playing games and much more.

Among other specs and features, "Google Allo" will require users to sign up using their phone numbers same as WhatsApp. It is to be noted that users will also be able to link the app with their Google account. The messaging app is expected to come with a user-friendly interface and will let users chat with their contacts in all ways like simple text messaging, sending graphics, emojis and stickers as well as doodling on photos. Allo will come with 3 sticker packs installed by default, while, another 24 packs can be added later, reported Android Police.

The messaging app from the search giant will also offer voice messaging feature and enable users to quickly record voice messages and send to their contacts. Google Allo is also offering end-to-end encryption and Incognito Conversations as well as Smart Reply, Whisper, Self-destructing messages and Shout features.
