Audi Unveils Its New Q3 SUV, With A Minor Makeover For 2017

Former baby SUV, the Q3 from the Ingolstadt-based car-manufacturer; Audi has undergone some update. The minor change is actually a facelift. Clearly, this is all about bringing the new SUV up in speed so as to compare with the rest of Audi's. Marked for a late-2016 or maybe an early-2017 launch, the new Q3 gets a bunch of small cosmetic updates giving the car a totally refreshed look.

What's New?

Well, in terms of looks, the new updated Q3 is mostly the same as the older one. The dimensions though remain the same, the cosmetic changes do give it a more sporty look. The car comes with a hint of black, the front has been slightly modified with a new bumper having larger air intakes, there's also a wider air dam including a black chrome slat under it, reports techtimes.com.

 Although the grille design and headlamps mostly remain unchanged, the border surrounding the grille that was chrome earlier is also now black. The underbody cladding that was previously body-coloured has also been replaced with a new glossy black one that matches perfectly with the new shade of yellow that has been taken from the younger brother; Q2.

According to auto.ndtv.com, the side designs of the Q3 also remain mostly the same but with the new sportier alloy wheels along with the black roof rails and black ORVMs. The rear portion of the car:Bumper and the Spoiler also get a similar color treatment. The tail lamp cluster has been slightly modified with now a dual chrome-tipped exhaust for the Car.

The cabin has been updated with a S Line package that comes with new sporty seats with lumbar support. Seats are wrapped up in fine black leather and beautiful fabric finish S Line logo at its centre. There's an optional package that includes Fine Nappa & Alcantara leather interior at a premium. Audi is also to install a sports steering wheel with flat-bottom all covered in leather.The Q3 S line competition package is also to have a few mechanical upgrades. Though the powertrain remains the same, the car will have S line sport suspension and the standard Audi drive select system.

The Prices are expected to be $33,804 for the base model and around $37,117 for the S Line variant. These figures are almost the same as those of the 2016 levels. The vehicles will be first available in Germany before being available in the European /American markets. Official pricing for the United States Buyers are still to be officially announced. The official website for Audi USA states that the vehicle will be available for $31,800, excluding other charges.
