New updates and features have been coming up every day for Google's search engine and other apps. One of the new updates that is to come on Google Maps is reported to indicate the speed limit on the route for the user's destination. Google is also adding the same feature to Android Auto along with Maps.

A few days ago, a Reddit user had posted a screenshot of Google Maps App displaying a speed limit sign on the bottom left corner. One other photo that was shared earlier by Android Police, showed some similar indicator in the in-car Android Auto interface.

According to the verge.com, a lot of users from all around the world had been requesting Google to add a speed limit tool to its 'Maps' app. As there was no such option until now, people had to use third party apps like the 'Maps Speed Limits' to follow their speeds along their route. Many of the Android users in US and UK have to spot the speed limit indicator on their maps app. The feature however, appeared for a brief time and then disappeared.

Google has yet made no official statement about this tool and it is still unclear when the feature will arrive on the app. The inclusion of the feature though, could prove to be an additional bonus for drivers globally, working as a helpful device to avoid mishaps on the road. Earlier last month, Google had updated its Maps app to better the connectivity of the app and also to make it more data efficient.

Another feature Google recently added is the ability for users to save maps offline on an SD card. The feature can prove to be a bonus for overseas travelers. Among the other improvements to Google Maps, Google has also added a multiple destinations support to its app, states bgr.com .

This multiple destination feature enables users to include different destinations while entering the details of start and end point. So, instead of waiting for the trip to get over, users can now easily navigate directions from one trip to the other and so on.
