Google has been in headlines for a number of reasons. Aside from the much anticipated Nexus 2016 smartphones- or Pixel and Pixel XL- rumors about Google's Nexus 7 2016 tablet release date, specs and price have been flooding the internet for quite some time now. New reports suggest the upcoming 7-inch tablet will get released sometime later this year.

According to ZDNet, popular leakster Evan Blass has posted a new tweet which claims that the upcoming Google Nexus 7 2016 tablet will feature 4 GB of RAM and will get a 2016 release date. As per the tweet, the next gen tablet will be manufactured by Huawei. This is not the first time that Google has partnered with Huawei. Last year, the Chinese tech giant created the critically acclaimed Google Nexus 6P Android smartphone.

Talking about specs and features of Google's alleged Nexus 7 2016 tablet, the upcoming device is rumored to come powered by NVIDIA's Tegra X1 processing chip and feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor, a 4GB RAM, a 128GB internal storage and 2TB worth of expandable storage option. The next gen tablet is expected to be among the first devices to come preloaded with the search giant's latest mobile OS, Android 7.0 Nougat, which will bring in impressive new features to the tablet.

There are reports which claim that the budget friendly Google Nexus 7 2016 tablet will come with a price tag of around $260. It is rumored that Google's upcoming Nexus tablet will give a tough competition to Samsung's recently released Galaxy Note 7 with its impressive specs and features. According to PC Tablet, the Google Nexus 7 2016 is expected to hit the stores by Thanksgiving i.e November 24. It remains to be seen whether Google will ditch the Nexus 2016 brand in favor of Pixel for its much rumored Nexus 7 2016 tablet.
