Do you have this dilemma that you want to stay all-day playing Pokemon Go to boost your level but you can't simply abandon your daytime work? A smart phone app, called Pokelock, allows you lock the screen without cancelling the game.

Pokelock is a must have app for all of the competitive Pokemon Go players out there. You see, if you are a competitive player of Pokemon Go, you may have definitely encountered this problem where your battery drains out in the middle of the day because you are waiting for the eggs to hatch.  Has your boss ever scolded you after catching Pokemon Go in your smartphone's screen? Yes, we all get frustrated when this happens that's why a brilliant app developer created Pokelock to answer this dying need from Pokemon Go fans.

According to Pokemon Go Hub, Pokelock does not exactly lock your screen but instead it only overlays a black panel on the screen that also prevents touch response of the screen. It also reduces the battery consumption since the black overlay prevents the power draining display from consuming so much power. As a result, the game still runs in the background while you do whatever necessary things you need to do. To resume the screen, you can simply double tap the screen or swipe your screen pattern and there you go, you'll be back in the game in no time.

Note that Pokelock is a third party app created by a separate app developer and they are neither affiliated with Niantic Labs nor sponsored by it. The creator claims that the app is developed for the benefit of the Pokemon Go community. Currently, the app is only available to Android devices at the Google Playstore. There was no announcement yet, if it will also be made available for iPhone and iPad users.
