Apple Warning: The iPhone 7's New Jet Black Colorway Is Prone To Scratches, Accidental Markings

Apple has just recently concluded the successful launch of their newest flagship devices. Consumers have been enjoying the newest features of the gadgets, but some already found an issue with the newest jet black iPhone 7.

On Wednesday, Apple successfully unveiled their newest flagship phones, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. During the event, the tech giant also announced that the new phones would also be available in a new "Jet Black" colorway, which excited the audience even more. Yahoo Finance wrote in a report that although it will captivate you at first glance, the new colorway was described in the report as "one of those things that has no practical benefit whatsoever."

Reports also said that the new colorway also costs more than the usual colorway for the phones. However, it is also one of those things that would create a special desire to get a hold of it, since everyone wants nice things.

However, Engadget reported that purchasing the new iPhone 7 colorway should come with a warning. It said that Apple admitted on their website that if consumers choose to get the new jet black iPhone 7, they should take extra care of it to keep it scratch free. According to the report, the new iPhone 7 page on Apple's website wrote part of the fine print at bottom part which read: "The high-gloss finish of the jet black iPhone 7 is achieved through a precision nine-step anodization and polishing process. Its surface is equally as hard as other anodized Apple products; however, its high shine may show fine micro-abrasions with use. If you are concerned about this, we suggest you use one of the many cases available to protect your iPhone."

Meanwhile, reports also said that Business Insider reporter Steve Kovach has also noticed that the phone's finish is also prone to fingerprints as well. However, Apple was also very blunt in saying that those who invest on phone cases because they're worried their phone might have markings may bring a lot of inconvenience. They think that if you're paying extra cash to buy something for its looks, they why would you want to cover it up?
