There's no doubt that Sony's Xperia XZ is going to give a tough competition to Samsung's Galaxy S7. In terms of specs, the recently announced Xperia XZ features a 5.2 inch display at 1920 x 1080 px in resolution, a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32 GB/64 GB of native storage space and Android Marshmallow. The smartphone measures 146 x 72 x 8.1mm and hits the scales at 161g. There's a 23 MP back camera and a 13 MPfront camera on board. The handset comes with a fingerprint sensor and is also water resistant, reported Neurogadget.

In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S7 has a slightly smaller 5.1 inch screen, but with a super-sharp Quad HD (2560x1440) resolution, a Snapdragon 820 chipset or an Exynos processor, depending on region, 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB/ 64 GB of native storage space and Android Marshmallow. The Samsung smartphone measures 142.4 x 69.6 x 7.9mm and weighs in at 152g. In terms of camera, the Galaxy S7 is less impressive than its competitor with a 12 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. It is to be noted that both the handsets can shoot up to 4K UHD video, reported Recombu. The smartphone is also water resistant and features a fingerprint scanner.

While, the Sony Xperia XZ features a 2900 mAh battery, the Galaxy S7 packs a slightly bigger 3000 mAh battery. The makers claim that both the smartphones can last up to 24 hours or more on a single charge.
