Apple MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date, Specs, Price Update: Launch In September Unlikely?

There are conflicting reports about the release date of Apple's highly anticipated MacBook Pro 2016. While, some claim that the Cupertino will unveil its next gen MacBook Pro laptop at it special event scheduled for September 7 along with its next iPhone iteration, possibly dubbed iPhone 7, others are reporting that MacBook Pro 2016 might get an October release date, reported iTechPost.

Leaving the release date reports aside, the best thing about Apple's MacBook Pro 2016 is the host of impressive specs and features which are rumored to be making their way to the laptop. The upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to be the best ever laptop Apple has ever released. In fact, the most talked about rumor that the Macbook Pro 2016 will feature a touch-sensitive secondary OLED display has almost been confirmed. The OLED bar is expected to replace the traditional function key row atop the keyboard. According to BGR, French site, Consomac, obtained an alleged picture which shows code from the Pages application that includes the phrase "Customize Function Row."

Among other specs, the Apple MacBook Pro 2016 is rumored to run the new macOS Sierra and feature Intel's latest Skylake chip. Thanks to macOS Sierra that the next gen Pro laptop will support the upgraded version of USB-C, also known as USB 3.1 Gen 2, which will offer speed of 10Gbps. There are high chances that the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 will get the SuperSpeed+ USB ports as well as Thunderbolt 3 support. Thunderbolt 3 is expected to offer blazing speeds of up to 40 gigabits per second, and DisplayPort 1.2 connectivity.

Furthermore, the upcoming laptop is rumored to feature a 5K display with 5120 x 2880 screen resolution, Apple's Touch ID fingerprint recognition technology, powerful AMD Polaris graphics as well as support for Apple's intelligent personal assistant, Siri. The Apple MacBook Pro 2016 is rumored to get launched in two 13-inch and 15-inch screen size variants with a price tag of between $1,299 up to $1,499.
