Acer Predator 21 X Specs, Price, Latest News: World’s First Laptop With Curved Display Arrives

Acer has reportedly unveiled the Predator 21 X which is the world's first laptop to feature a curved screen display. The highly anticipated gaming laptop was announced at the IFA 2016 event in Germany along with Acer Swift 7 which is touted as the world's thinnest laptop with a thickness of mere 0.99cm.

Other than the curved display, the Acer Predator 21 X laptop comes with a lot of impressive specs and features which is sure to attract game lovers. The high-end gaming laptop is powered by Intel's latest Kaby Lake Core i7 processor and features a curved 21-inch IPS display (2560 x 1080) along with dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics cards in Scalable Link Interface (SLI), reported Ubergizmo.

The Predator 21 X comes with four DDR4 slots that supports up to 64GB of RAM, LED RGB mechanical keyboard, Cherry MX key switches, a 5-fan cooling system, SoundPound 4.2+ speakers, 3-way audio and Dolby Audio technology. There's also Tobii eye-tracking technology on board which is sure to offer a great gaming experience to the user. What's interesting to note is that the laptop features a numpad that can be easily flipped over to convert it into a touchpad. The Acer Predator 21 X, which weighs around 8kg, will begin to go on sale in January 2017, reported GSMArena. Unfortunately, there's no word on pricing yet.

Talking about Acer Swift 7, the sleek laptop measures a mere 0.39 inches thin and weighs in at just 1.1 kg. it features a 13.3-inch full HD (1920x1080) display with Corning Gorilla Glass, a 7th Generation Intel Core i5 processor, 256GB SSD, up to 8GB of RAM, two USB 3.1 Type-C ports and a headphone jack. Acer claims that the notebook's battery can last up to 9 hours on a single charge. The Acer Swift 7 will be available in North America in October for US $999.
