A lot has observed that the progress of Siri has been slow since it was first released in 2011. One example is Siri's use of a "Z" sound in the middle of "Streisand" which has annoyed the singer since Siri's release. Now, Apple CEO Tim Cook has promised that the problem will be fixed that will come with the updated iOS 10 this coming September 30.

According to Yahoo News, Barbara Streisand shared a hint of confirmation that an iOS 10 update is set to be released on September 30 in an interview with NPR. Streisand has showed her interest in giving a better Siri experience by tweaking Siri a little bit for the upcoming iOS 10 update. The reason the singer is calling out the voice assistant is rather simple: Siri is saying "STRY-zand" instead of "STRY-sand."

Tech Times also reported that this iPhone feature can be corrected and taught how to properly pronounce names by any user. However, Streisand did not waste her time doing that and went straight to Apple CEO Tim Cook. She could not bear to think that millions of people would hear her name battered. "Streisand with a soft S, like sand on the beach," she said. "I've been saying this for my whole career. And so what did I do? I called the head of Apple, Tim Cook, and he delightfully agreed to have Siri change the pronunciation of my name, finally, with the next update on September 30th."

During the interview, NPR's Scott Simon discovered that Apple is apparently releasing its updated software at the end of September something that is so uncommon for Apple. The company usually releases its new iOS version at the beginning of every month right before presenting a new iPhone.

Meanwhile, appleinsider.com reported that the update will surely be released next month but may arrive before the 30th. The new iPhone 7 is rumored to be shipping on either the 16th or the 23rd, and will have to have iOS 10 preloaded in it. It was also rumored that previous iOS devices should get access possibly as soon as September 14.
