PS4 Slim Photos Leaked Online? Rumors About Latest Gadget Spread As Images Circulate On The Internet

Leaked images of the PS4 Slim from an online auction site 'Gumtree' has spread on the internet giving us a glimpse of the new PS4 redesign that Sony is reportedly going to unveil at a media event on September 7th.

Twitter user shortmaneighty2, who spotted the Gumtree listing, and NeoGAF user Venom Fox have posted multiple images of the console, showing it boxed, unboxed and compared to the original PS4 console. Sony will hold an event on 7th September in New York, where it is set to announce the more powerful PS4, codenamed Neo, and this PS4 Slim, reports Eurogamer.net.

Is it really PS4 Slim?

The Leaked PS4 Slim does seem legit. We're not sure how this console units managed to leak, but it's real, and there are apparently more floating about in the UK.

Digital Foundry visited the person who purchased the console off Gumtree in order to record a video of it booting up. We don't get to see that many pictures from many different angles without some level of authenticity. For those who believe it's a 3D printed fake, in this age of 3D printers you can never be too careful with the minute details we see in the leaked images.

It's going to be interesting for video game lovers this fall as we have up to three new consoles hitting the market in 2016 (PS4 Slim, Xbox One S, PS4 Neo), also the specter of the mysterious Nintendo NX not too far off on the horizon, followed by the Xbox Scorpio next year. Price of the new PS4 Slim has net been announced yet. Though Sony has not yet given an official comment about the leak, The PS4 slim is reportedly going to be unveiled at a media event on September 7th.
