Many celebrities and U.S. Olympians participated in the 22-Pushup Challenge. This effort is to honor the 22 veterans thought to commit suicide each day.

The 22-Pushup Challenge is just like the Ice Bucket Challenge. The participants are going to perform the task then nominate another person. Once a nomination is done, they will post the video to social media where the next participant goes on to do the same. The only difference between the two challenges is that in the Ice Bucket Challenge it called for donations, while on the other hand, the 22-Pushup Challenge aims for participation to raise awareness on veteran suicide, according to Fox News.

The Challenge is a campaign that focuses on the exceptionally high rate of suicide among military veterans. There are about approximately 7,400 veterans who commit suicide every year. This indicates that there are about 22 veterans who commit suicide every day.

The organizers of the pushup challenge said that their goals are to raise awareness on the veteran suicide that includes mental issues such as post-traumatic stress (PTS), traumatic brain injury and stress that some veterans experience in transition from military to civilian life. The challenge also aims to support partner organizations that focus on mental health treatment, veteran empowerment, and other services for the veterans and their families, as reported by Inc.

Among the known celebrities who participated are Chris Evans, Chris Pratt, and his wife Ana Faris, Justin James, John Krasinski, Scott Eastwood, Kevin Hart and Ludacris. It's time to voice your concerns and sympathy for the brave veterans of the nation. If you want to participate just visit this website https://www.22kill.com/22-honor-pushups/.
