While Motorola remains tight lipped about the release date, specs or price of its highly anticipated Motorola Moto Z Play smartphone, new reports suggest the handset has already been certified by the Chinese telecom regulator TENAA.

According to GSMArena, the TENAA listing has revealed the possible specs of the Motorola Moto Z Play handset displayed with the model number XT1635-01. As per the listing, the upcoming Motorola handset will feature a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution along with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core CPU, Adreno 506 GPU under its hood. There's 3GB of RAM on board, 64GB of internal storage, plus a microSD slot.

Among other specs, the Motorola Moto Z Play is listed with a 3,500mAh battery, a 16MP camera for photos and videos and a 5Mp front-facing camera. The handset is expected to ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow as its operating system out of the box. The smartphone will possibly measure 156.4 x 76.4 x 6.99mm and weigh 165g. The handset is said to be offered in two Black and White color options.

The device will also sport a water repellent nano-coating, and the Moto Mods connector. There's room for Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C and a fingerprint scanner as well, reported Android Headlines. As far as Motorola Moto Z Play pricing is concerned, the handset is expected to be the cheapest of the Moto Z models and cost somewhere around $300 USD.

Recently, Hello Moto HK posted a leaked image of the Moto Z Play. In the picture, the handset can be seen with the 3.5mm headphone jack. It remains to be seen whether the picture is legitimate. We advise our readers to take the information with a grain of salt as the Lenovo-owned company Motorola is yet to officially announce about Moto Z Play release date, specs and pricing details.
