While GoPro is keeping mum about the release of its highly anticipated GoPro Hero 5 action camera, recent rumors suggest the release could happen before the end of 2016. It is expected that the GoPro Hero 5 will be bundled with the GoPro Karma Drone on its release.

Nick Woodman, GoPro CEO, said during a recent interview that the company is going to release three new devices in 2016. However, Woodman did not choose to reveal the name of the products and the specific launch date, reported Christian Times.

It was previously reported that the company had plans to launch the Karma Drone in June this year. But, as the device wasn't ready to make its debut, its launch has been delayed since then.

As far as GoPro Hero 5 specs are concerned, the next GoPro action camera is expected to feature major upgrades compared to its predecessor. The most talked about feature is the support for an 8K Full Ultra HD resolution. There are also speculations which suggest that the device will shoot 4K videos at 60fps and 1080p, reported China Topix.

It is rumored that the GoPro Hero 5 will be able to shoot 3D videos because of its dual-lens feature. The Hero 5 is expected to feature a 2,800mAh battery capacity as well as Bluetooth 4.0 for quicker upload speed. The action camera is rumored to be available in two processors - the Snapdragon 800 chip from Qualcomm and the A10 chipset. Additionally, the device will have an increased waterproof capacity with up to 60 meters.

In terms of price, it has been reported that the GoPro Hero 5 can cost anything from $400 to $550. Fans can expect the GoPro Hero 5 and GoPro Karma Drone bundle to arrive in the market around October.

We would advise our readers to the information with a big grain of salt as nothing about GoPro Hero 5 release date, specs and price has been confirmed by the makers.
