With Apple Watch 2 purported September release date inching closer, more and more rumors about the smartwatch's specs and pricing details have started making rounds.

Latest rumors suggest Apple Watch 2 will come with GPS capabilities. Currently, Apple Watch users need to have their iPhones with them to track a run or get directions on their smartwatch. GPS feature on upcoming smartwatch mean that individuals will no longer have to be dependent on their iPhones.

Another new feature which is rumored to be included in the next Apple watch iteration is swim tracking. Most of the fitness wearable devices currently available are well efficient in tracking runs, walks, bike rides, but there aren't many devices with swim tracking feature. The upcoming Apple Watch will indeed become fitness enthusiasts' favorite if it gets the rumored feature.

There are also reports which suggest the OLED screen could be replaced with micro-LED panels in Apple Watch 2. As micro LED panels are thinner and lighter than OLED screens, it is expected that the next wearable will be comparatively lighter than its predecessor. The display technology will not only help increase the battery life of the smart watch, but it will also provide better display quality with its high-resolution system.

Furthermore, use of micro LED panels will also increase the cost of the smartwatch. So, we can expect the upcoming Apple Watch 2 to feature a bigger price tag, higher than what was previously assumed.

Among other specs, the upcoming smartwatch is expected to feature true cellular connectivity which will enable users to make calls, send texts and connect to the internet without using iPhone. The Cupertino is also rumored to add a FaceTime camera to the Apple Watch for video calls.

The smartwatch is expected to include an ARM Cortex A32 processor, which is almost 25 percent faster than the current ARM-based processor and offers improved battery life. It is rumored that the next gen Apple smartwatch might come with a built-in camera as well.

We advise our readers to take the information with a grain of salt as the Cupertino has not confirmed anything yet.
