New reports suggest the next installment in the "Dragon Ball" franchise, dubbed "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2", which is set for release sometime later this year, is getting a host of new elements and features.

Developer Dimps recently released a new gameplay footage of the upcoming "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 event. Looking at the video, it is clear that the new game is going to get an expanded roster of characters. The sneak peek gameplay video shows a battle between Turtles (the antagonist in the Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might movie) and Future Gohan.

It is reported that "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will feature a new avatar customization system, which will let players choose from several character options. After choosing a character, the gamer will be brought to a new location which will be exclusive to the race chosen.

The "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" new hub city will be seven times bigger than that of the previous game and will support up to 300 players simultaneously. The gamers will be able to fly around the new hub city. In addition, the game will feature a hovering device that will let players move from one point of the city to another.

The upcoming "Dragon Ball" title will also have new combat skills, bringing curved Ki blasts to the mix as well as a Homing Dash and an Aura Burst Dash. Turles and Future Gohan have been confirmed as new additions to the cast so far.

The developers have revealed that the "Dragonball Xenoverse 2" will run at 60 Frames-per-second (FPS), which marks a significant update from 30 FPS of the first Xenoverse game. The game will also have a "dynamic camera" that will help players better track movements during fights.

"Dragonball Xenoverse 2" is expected to get rolled out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Steam some time later this year. There's no word on an exact release date yet.
