Samsung Note 7 Release Date, Specs, Price: Next Gen Phablet Confirmed For An August Release?

Rumors about Samsung's highly anticipated phablet Galaxy Note 6, possibly dubbed Galaxy Note 7, has been making round for quite some time now. If new reports are to be believed, the tech giant might unveil its next Note phablet in the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked 2016 event.

According to a picture obtained by SamMobile, Samsung might unveil either the Galaxy Note7 or Galaxy Note7 edge on August 2, 2016, at the Alice Tully Hall of the Lincoln Center in New York. The picture shows the name of the upcoming Samsung event, five curved lines pointing towards '7′ and the phrase "The next edge is just around the corner." The phrase could be for the Galaxy Note7 edge.

In fact, a model number alleged to be of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note7 smartphone has already been spotted on the South Korean company's official website. The website currently hosts a user agent profile page for the model number SM-N930F. While, the page doesn't reveal any other details apart from the model number, it is assumed that SM-N930F is the Galaxy Note 7 as model numbers for the Galaxy Note 5 was SM-N920, and the Note 4 was the SM-N910.

Another report which fuels Galaxy Note 7 August release date rumors suggest that Samsung is planning to manufacture 5 million units of the Galaxy Note 7 to meet the initial demand. It is reported that the company will manufacture 2.5 million units in July and another 2.5 million in August.

As far as Galaxy Note 7 specs are concerned, it is expected that the phablet will feature a 5.8 inch display with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The handset is rumored to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM.

The Note 7 is expected to run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow (even Android N), with 64GB/128GB internal memory, 10-nanometer 6GB RAM, and a 4,000mAh battery. The phone's dimensions are purportedly around 153.5mm x 73.9mm x 7.9mm.

The handset is reported to feature a 5 megapixel front camera for selfies and a 12 megapixel rear camera for photos and videos.

We advise our readers to take the information with a big grain of salt as nothing yet has been confirmed by Samsung.
