While, fans are eagerly waiting for Apple's next iPhone iteration possibly dubbed iPhone 7 to get released, a lot of new rumors about the handset's specification and design are making rounds.

If recently leaked pictures obtained by MobiPicker are to be believed then the upcoming Apple iPhone 7 has dropped the iconic physical home button in favor of a touch-sensitive one.

The pictures show a slightly re-positioned front camera and proximity sensor and narrower lower and upper bezels on the handset. The home button in the pictures is perfectly in level with the rest of the bezel and cannot be pressed in. This hints that the button is touch-sensitive. The report claims that users will have to tap the button to perform various functions, like tap and hold for Siri, double tap to see the running apps, etc.

While, the probability of a touch-sensitive home button is quite high, we would advise our readers to take the information with a pinch of salt as nothing yet has been confirmed by the makers.

As far as iPhone 7 design is concerned, it is rumored that the upcoming handset will get an attractive all-glass look. Allen Horng, the chairman and CEO of Apple supplier Catcher Technology, has revealed that the company is planning to make the upcoming iPhone 7 using a glass casing, reported Mirror. Allen also said that an advanced processing technology is also being developed to support the glass casing in the new iPhone 7.

There are also rumors that Apple iPhone 7 could come with a new color option when it gets unveiled in September. According to Japanese website Mac Otakara, citing sources from China, Apple's iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be rolled out in dark blue, silver, gold and rose gold color options. This means that the iconic space gray color theme will not make into the list this time.
