Want an extra hand in your house, especially in caring for the elderly or the accident-prone kids? An adorable robot by Asus -a walking, talking one - has been introduced!

According to Huffington Post, computer manufacturer Asus introduced on Monday the robot that reportedly can read stories, look out for emergencies, and even remind to take medicines. It is called the Zenbo bot.

The robot does not look like some cold machine either. It looks like the baby of BB-8 from "Star Wars" and "Wall-E" if you know...they can reproduce. It has a quite nasal voice, which may sound good for some, or irritating too.

Fortune reported that ASUS has described the robot as a "friendly helper" that can make sure the consumer's house will stay in tip-top shape, including those who live in there.

Similar to Amazon Echo and Google Home, Zenbo is responsive to verbal commands and engage in a wide range of tasks that humans (once upon a time) only can do.

However, Zenbo has an edge over Echo and Home because it can move around independently. Echo and Home remain in one place.

If the bot noticed something wrong, he can even alert those within the residence and send images of the scene through its built-in camera. Pretty nifty if you have an elderly in the house, who needs a constant companion.

Of course, the new machine is not without its criticisms. Some believe that it brings to the family potential dangers. They believe that these robots can become potential hackers. For example, the Amazon Echo has drawn flak for precisely this reason. Many said that the FBI can hack into the Echo in order to do their job better, but some do not like the idea, even enraged by it, as reported by Gizmodo

The Zenbo is priced at $599, almost priced the same as an iPhone only. Those interested can certainly easily save for one if they believe the immense benefits that the robot can bring to them.
