A young American woman is currently battling a rare sexual disorder, a condition that leaves her constantly aroused with over 50 orgasms a day.

The common sexual complaint from women is a lack of sexual desire and above all lack of orgasms. But the reverse of this has almost ruined the life of Amanda Gryce, a 24-year- old resident of Florida, who suffers from a rare condition called Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder.

The uncontrollable orgasms that have been plaguing her for over a decade get triggered by any number of things like vibrations while riding in a car or loud music.

Fifty orgasms in a day with five back to back in an hour might sound funny to a few. But this condition has left the young woman in despair.

"It can happen anywhere and sometimes I'll have five back to back. It's not pleasurable - it has become like torture. I've been living with it since I was six. I can have 50 orgasms in one day and five or ten within an hour of each other. It happens when I'm with my friends or out in public and it's very embarrassing. It kills me inside. I just have to put on a smile and pretend that nothing's wrong," Gyrce was quoted in Daily Mail.

Though not much is known about the condition, persistent genital arousal disorder (PGAD) is also called as restless genital syndrome. The medical professionals are still to find a definitive cause for this condition but assume it is due to irregularity in sensory nerves. A Dutch study earlier linked this condition with the restless leg syndrome.

Gryce is not the first woman to have reported experiencing this strange condition. A British woman, Michelle Thompson, reported suffering from PGAD and experienced 300 orgasms a day. Last year, a 55-year-old Dutch woman from Netherlands reported suffering from a rare neurological condition that caused unwanted orgasms in her foot.

Women with this condition lead very uncomfortable lives and some have reported suicidal thoughts. But in the case of Gryce, she is fighting this condition with the help of medical treatment and the support of her partner.

According to the doctors, Amanda and her boyfriend Stuart Triplett, whom she met seven months ago on a dating website, must abstain from sex till the treatment continues.

Seeking treatment from a Pelvic Pain expert is yielding good results for Gryce. The doctors hope that through this treatment Gryce can eventually have a normal sex life.
